About My Drama Desk
Hi, welcome to my little corner of the internet. 👋
I'm the person behind My Drama Desk — a mood-driven, slightly obsessive K-drama and C-drama watcher who finally decided to put all these thoughts somewhere other than my Notes app.
How This Started
My drama journey actually started with K-dramas, but everything changed in October 2025, when Netflix kept recommending The First Frost until I finally gave in. That was it — one C-drama in, and I was completely hooked. 32 episodes later, I was downloading iQIYI, WeTV, and Youku just to keep the momentum going. What started as "something to watch while waiting for K-dramas to update" turned into a genuine passion of its own.
Since then, I've made my way through modern romance, historical epics, wuxia, xianxia, political dramas — and I still happily jump back to Western shows when the mood strikes (looking at you, Bridgerton and XO, Kitty).
What I Watch, Honestly
If there's one thing that describes my taste, it's this: it depends on my mood.
Some days I want a slow-burn historical epic with beautiful cinematography. Other days I want a modern romance with great chemistry and zero patience for a love triangle. I don't stick to one genre, one country, or one tone — I just follow whatever pulls me in that week.
That said, if you're wondering what tends to win me over, it's usually:
- Strong romance as the main focus (not a subplot)
- Good chemistry between the leads
- Minimal love triangles
- Happy endings
- Slow burns that are worth the wait — not just slow for the sake of it
My Signature: The Romance Timeline
One thing you'll notice in every review here is my Romance Timeline — a spoiler-marked section where I track the relationship beat by beat: first meeting, first hug, first kiss, confession, milestones, any jealousy or rivals, breakups, reunions, and the happy ending. If you're someone who watches a drama mainly for the romance (no judgment, same), this section is for you.
Why Anonymous
I'm keeping my identity separate from this blog on purpose — this is just a space for honest reviews and recommendations, without mixing it into my personal life. What matters here is the shows, not who's writing about them.
What You'll Find Here
- Honest reviews (the good, the messy, and the "why did I cry at 2am" moments)
- A Romance Timeline for every drama I cover
- Recommendations organized by mood, not just genre
- Occasional detours into whatever Western show has hooked me that month
Thanks for stopping by — grab a seat at the desk, and let's talk dramas. 💕
